2011 Klickitat Riverside
Steelhead Tent Camp
September - November

Located on the banks of the Klickitat River, our Tent Camp has a fully equipped main lodge tent that serves primarily as a common area for
all our guests. Attached to the common area, we have several individual sleeping pods with private sleeping quarters and changing areas.
We also have separate individual 6 and 4 man tents located outside the common area offering even more privacy, if desired.  The lodge
tent is equipped with a wood burning stove and the individual tents are also heated to keep you warm and dry.

Many a fish tale has been told while enjoying a cold beer or glass of wine around our outdoor fire pit.
Since our camp is literally on the banks of the river you can fish the several fine runs located right in front of camp well into the evening or
get up early in the morning and fish  before your guided float fishing trip begins. Talk about value. Fish as much or as little as you desire.
Remember it is your trip!
One of Washington State's natural treasures, the Klickitat is a
wild and scenic river that begins it's life in the glaciers and
springs at the base of Mt. Adams in South Central Washington.
Year after year we are fortunate to offer great returns of large
wild steelhead and an ever increasing hatchery program that
puts out some very nice summer fish as well.  There are many
days on the river where the only company you will see are
eagles, turkeys, and deer! Rarely seen but still local residents
are black bear and mountain lions very common in the area.

Located about 4 hours from Seattle and about 2.5 hours from
Portland the "Klick" is  just far enough away from the real
world that it's a great escape for a multi-day get  away or
close enough for a full day fishing trip.

The glacial nature of the Klickitat makes late Summer and
early Fall the best season for steelhead fishing in the State of
Washington. As the mountain glaciers freeze with cooler
overnight temps the "Klick" visibility improves along with the
results. The Klickitat offers several different and varying
options for drifts as short as 3 miles  to as long as 12 miles in
a day.

Taking into account  client preferred techniques, Reel
Adventures is proud to offer both fly fishing and conventional
gear fishing trips. Our professional courteous steelhead guides
are experienced in all aspects of fly fishing and conventional
techniques on the Klickitat with years of intimate river
knowledge.

Our fly fishing clients may prefer nymph/strike indicator
fishing on-the-move generally producing the most number of
hook-ups but we do swing flies with a spey/switch rod for
those "swingers" out there as well. Our conventional tackle
clients enjoy a host a different and productive techniques using
both spinning and level wind reels/rods.  We also provide the
finest gear available using GLoomis rods Ross and Shimano
reels for those who need it.

  • Fish from shore, enjoy the campfire or go on a hike and start your "Klick" experience off early.

Day 1- we'll get you started early with some hot coffee, breakfast and then hit the river for a day of steelhead fishing with your
guide.  Return to camp around dinner time where you'll find your tent warm & dry, with a snack and beverage waiting for you.
You can wade fish from camp while dinner is prepared or relax and enjoy some quiet time.  Dinner is always a treat of outdoor
NW cooking.  We take pride in serving hearty healthy meals but leave some room for our special signature dessert.  It's always
a hit with our guests.  After dinner you can enjoy a glass of wine/beer or simply head off to sleep listening to the sounds of the
